Two Awards won at MAMAs by Madison Media Institute Graduate

Madison Media Institute (MMI) graduate, Susan McCarter-Wade, was recently honored during the Madison Area Music Awards at the Barrymore theatre. McCarter-Wade’s band, Queenie and the Blue Cats, won the award for Blues Performer of the Year. The Blue Cats’ latest CD, Another Blue Day, which features ten original songs and a reworked cover, won the Blues Album of the Year Award.
McCarter-Wade graduated from MMI in 2006 from the Recording and Music Technology program. “It’s always thrilling to see our graduates succeeding in their chosen fields. Being honored by the local community at the MAMAs is an achievement to especially be proud of,” said Bill Mallinson, MMI Placement Director.
